Coaches Biographies
Davey Gibian
A military veteran and former college athlete, Davey is an avid runner and adventurer. He was a varsity rower at Columbia and has run numerous marathons, one-half marathons, and 10ks. Although he loves trail runs, his favorite distance is 400m. He was a team and race organizer for several years in Brooklyn prior to recently relocating to Westchester County. He believes morning runs should end with coffee and bagels while evening runs should end with a good pint.
Brian Harkins
Brian is an avid athlete who has competed in sports since the age of 3. He completed his first 1/2 marathon at the age of 13 and subsequently ran 12 marathons. Brian played a variety of sports growing up (soccer, track, lacrosse, baseball, basketball, football) and was a collegiate soccer player. After college Brian competed in various adventure races triathlons, and marathons and played beach volleyball, flag football, and softball teams. Brian has been a fitness and running coach for the last 20 years. He has obtained several coaching certifications in running, strength, and conditioning.
Craig Motz
Craig Motz, new to the Briarcliff Manor community, is an accomplished endurance athlete with a passion for the outdoors and endurance sports. He has trained and completed races of varying distances from 5K to 50K and two Ironmans. He helped train hundreds of triathletes as a Coach for the NYC Chapter of Team In Training where he also met his wife, Nikki. Craig looks forward to meeting members of the running club and helping them accomplish their goals. When he isn't putting miles in the pool, bike, or in his running shoes he is spending time with his family and son, Miles!
Maria Kucheryavaya
Maria loves nothing more than being outside and being active. She ironically started running after a skiing injury landed her in PT after knee surgery. Thankfully, she learned to love the mental game of running and has run multiple half marathons, 10k, and 5k since, earning first and second place in a few. Maria loves the Briarcliff running community and the challenge of helping other runners reach their potential and have fun while doing it!
