Role & Responsibilities
The Treasurer's Office is charged with the responsibility of maintaining custody of all Village funds and keeping the accounts of all Village receipts and expenditures. The accounting methods used by the Village must be in compliance with a uniform system of accounts as authorized by the Office of the State Comptroller. Budget preparation is the responsibility of the Village Manager, who serves as the Village's Budget Officer.
The Village Treasurer has the responsibility of filing the annual financial statement in the Office of the Village Clerk. Additionally, the Office administers the Village's payroll, accounts payable, tax collection, and water billing.
